Celebrating 25 years!
Clarkson Controls celebrate two anniversaries this year! Malcolm Anson our MD and owner celebrates 50 years of working in Building Services and Clarkson Controls celebrate 25 years of trading in HVAC control systems.
Malcolm has been in Building Services since 1968. Starting out as an apprentice electrician, before moving in the early 70’s to a drawing office designing speed controls for large DC motors (pre- inverters!). After a short time and getting the bug for controlling motors he moved to Satchwell Controls where he learnt the art of controlling Building services (Pre BMS).
Malcolm then went on to work for companies such as Invictor, Johnson and JEL before starting Clarkson Controls. Malcolm has been honoured to be the President of the Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) for the last 2 years. Why not join the BCIA?
The company was initially formed by Malcolm Anson, and Barry Clark (of panel builders Orderspear) in April 1993 as a controls systems house, based in Barry’s main business offices in Tamworth, Hence the ‘Clark – Son’ name! After around two years Malcolm bought Barry’s share of Clarkson Controls and moved to a black country base to be nearer home.
For the last 10 years Clarkson Controls have been based at offices in Belbroughton, Worcestershire – ideal for the Midlands Motorway network.
Clarkson Controls pride themselves on continuing to provide innovative state-of-the-art solutions to Building Services Control, from simple room Control Units to ‘all singing and dancing’ Building Management Systems (BMS).
Clarkson Controls offer the best system manufacturers range of product for the job in hand and are not tied like some systems houses to only one supplier.
Not, wanting to compromise and finding the major controls manufacturers did not offer a solution to control Natural Ventilation, Clarkson Controls started to design and manufacture state-of-the-art solutions for this area of building services. They are proud of the fact that their product range is ‘designed by Control Engineers for Control Engineers‘ – their history and experience mean they understand the technical requirements along with simplifying the installation process that modern buildings create. i-Con Room Sensors
